Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Data Sciences and Intelligent Systems (IJDSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and any form of unethical publication practices. All submitted manuscripts are expected to be original work and properly cite sources of information, ideas, or data obtained from other authors.

Key Guidelines:

  1. Originality Requirement: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any content derived from other sources must be appropriately cited and referenced.

  2. Plagiarism Detection: All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using recognized software tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate) prior to peer review. Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity thresholds are rejected or returned for revision.

  3. Self-Plagiarism: Authors must not submit previously published work or duplicate content across multiple submissions without proper disclosure and citation.

  4. Consequences: Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content may face one or more of the following actions:

    • Immediate rejection of the manuscript.

    • Notification to the author’s institution or employer.

    • Retraction of the article if plagiarism is discovered after publication.

  5. Ethical Compliance: The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, promoting ethical research and publication practices. Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy, originality, and proper attribution in all submissions.

  6. Author Responsibility: Authors must confirm that their manuscript is free from plagiarism at the time of submission and agree to the journal’s plagiarism checks as part of the submission process.

By enforcing this policy, IJDSS ensures the integrity, credibility, and reliability of the research it publishes, fostering trust in academic and professional communities while supporting the advancement of knowledge in data science, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems.
